What this site does not collect in an account
There are no user accounts, no member portal, and no password. We do not ask you to create a login to use the calculator. The ages, state, COBRA premium, and income you type are processed locally in JavaScript in your browser to produce an on-screen estimate. Those fields are not submitted to a HealthCoverageCalc server as a stored application file. If you reload the page, the numbers you typed are gone unless your browser itself restores form fields.
We do not require your name, Social Security number, street address, or date of birth to run the math. Please do not email those to us either.
Technical logs and hosting
Like most websites, the host or content-delivery network that serves these files may record standard request logs: IP address, date and time, browser user-agent, referring URL, and the path requested. We use that kind of data, if we have it, to keep the site up, to diagnose errors, and to understand which pages are read. We do not use server logs to underwrite insurance or to decide a subsidy.
Cookies and advertising
Advertising on this site is served by two third-party networks: Adsterra (Adsterra Ltd.) and Monetag (a Propeller Ads brand). Each is an independent controller for the ads it serves. Embedded and outbound services
Pages load advertising scripts from Adsterra (highrevenueformat.com, profitableratecpmnetwork.com) and Monetag (nap5k.com) when ads are present. Outbound links go to HealthCare.gov, eHealth, HealthMarkets, and similar third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Do not send this site medical records through those click-throughs thinking we will store them — we will not see that data.
Your choices and requests
Because we do not keep a membership database of calculator inputs, there is typically no “profile” to delete. You can stop using the site, clear cookies in your browser, and use Google’s ad settings. If you emailed us, you can ask us to delete that email thread. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws (including, as applicable, California and others) may have rights to request access or deletion of personal information we actually hold — for this site, that is mainly email you sent us and ordinary server logs, not a hidden dossier of MAGI figures. Send requests to hadooouuken@gmail.com with enough detail to find the message. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
If a future version of the site added a hosted form or newsletter, this policy would be updated before that collection started. Until then, treat cobravsaca.com as a static estimator with advertising and affiliate links, not as a healthcare data warehouse.
